How people are totally willing to trade away the two centers that actually have played and showed something in an actual NBA game over someone who has done and proven nothing amazes me

We better fukking not. Philly consensus is Noel has to go. Dude is not good at all.
Liberty Ballers is the most hardcore Sixer fan site on the web, they recently asked about the consensus on Nerlens Noel....

I'm happy for my city, even though I'm not a Sixers fan (Phillies and Eagles for life on mine, though). Between this, the Phillies winning and the sorry Sam Bradford fiasco, I can only imagine how crazy radio has been there lately (I hear The Fanatic is back to consistently shyttin on WIP in the ratings, too...lol).

I think they draft Ingram. Then, they HAVE to push for Embiid to get his shyt together....and while I agree that you trade Okafor if you can get good value for him that satisfies a quality need, you REALLY need to try to make the twin towers thing work first. Like, that shyt is RARE as an opportunity in basketball, so even if it's destined to fail miserably they OWE it to themselves to at least try it first. Cause conversely, that's that shyt that, if it worked and worked WELL - and Ingram panned out to be a star - could completely alter the future tenor of the East.

I agree with whomever said Boston might want Noel, too. That could work, depending on what the Sixers got back.

They do that, then they can start to talk about having a good young core.

You bring up Noel's offensive deficiencies but gonna ignore Okafor's defensive ones :mjlol:

...yeah but think of it like this: if you have Okafor's scoring and Embiid's defense AND scoring, now Noel's defensive value is negated somewhat. Because IF he's healthy, odds are Embiid is GOING to at least give you points, more so than Noel, along with boards and blocks.

So if you can trade Noel for scoring, for instance, you gotta do that.

This is his plan!
Not giving him his props would be down right disrespectful.

I don't believe he actually knew. Think he's just being optimistic.

Dawg, one of the 3 centers are leaving. The only way we keep all 3 is if one of them comes off of the bench. It's not about WANTING one dealt. Its about accepting the fact that one WILL get dealt.

Whoever we keep out of Noel and Okafor likely comes off the bench long term if Simmons is the pick.

Simmons and Embiid are the starters at PF and C if everything goes right. :manny: I prefer Noel because I value his defensive versatility. He can guard 4's and 5's and even switch onto wings. Okafor can't guard anyone.
