first of all congrats on the new format overall it looks great but here's my input: have og blue as the default color as it's considered by most the best and you want to have your first impression be the best for new users. the black and white color is a little

for places where you distinguish different objects and sections with darker colors and sharp lines try lightening or smoothing those a little as that kind of contrasting tend to draw attention and when it's all over it get's kinda distracting.
consider removing the joined date and number of messages below the avatar box (if someone wants that info about a poster let them look at their profile) or make the whole thing a long box with the same color, except the border around the avatar, (maybe separated by a line) so it won't look like a bunch of distracting separate boxes. overall look back at vb forum, i think the simplistic look of its format was pretty good, and maybe try and incorporate some of the old look with the functionality of this forum.
