Exactly, this type of thing (and a general rise in support for far-right politics) has been going on for decades in Eastern Europe. I'm shocked that this didn't happen sooner, what with all of the support and press that the Front National has gotten over the years.
Look like greece has a full blown nationalism problem, especially with an overall unemployment rate at about 25%

If it's about Greece, then I didn't see the episode, but I do know of the party, Golden Dawn (XA). Unlike the Front National, they actually have seats in Greek Parliament, which should tell you everything you need to know about how fractured the situation is in Greece.
Do you remember what the book is called? They worship Ioannis Metaxas, a dictator whose policies were not far off from Nazism, but I don't remember him ever writing a book (diary, yes. But not a book).
FN has 2 seats in the parliament : Marion Maréchal-Le Pen (grand daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen (JMLP)) and Gilbert Collard.
Marine Le Pen (daughter of JMLP) did 17.90% in the last presidential election in 2012.
But on topic, there is a real difference between skinheads and boneheads. Theoritically, the skinhead is the punk/ska youngster from the UK movement in 1960's... The bonehead is the skinhead that moved from the original ideology (in the beginning of the 80s in the UK) and became far-right/neo-nazi/fascist...
What happened in Paris last week was more likely a encounter between a far-left group and a far-right one. The first one cussed a the second and the second hid in a store and called for back-up. Back-up came and fight ensued. Clément Méric caught a couple of punches (brass knuckles may be involved), got thrown and his head hit the pavement or a plot which caused a bleeding and unfortunately his death...
Far-right/Far-left bands (gangs) been at it since the 70s here.
It began with the Hell's Angels (blessed by the US ones) that was running Paris' streets at that time. The growing immigration (due to France calling people from its african colonies because it lacked workfore in the 50s/60s) and unemployement led many "white" youngsters to like this movement and the "Rebels" gang was created (their emblem being the US southern flag...)
Black Panthers (not affiliated with the US) were created at that time, with the Asnays and Ducky Boys which were the first anti-racist gangs. They were hunting the Rebels.
The Rebels soon were defeated by that relentless hunting and was then replaced by the bonheads who were openly political i.e pro european white power. Some of these far right gangs (nationalists, royalists, nazis, fascists) really ran the streets in some parisian neighbourhoods terrorizing people.
The gang war became really political then, with far-right boneheads fighting far-left skinheads because at that time (80s) the boneheads started attacking immigrants fiercely. When I say communists, this was not entirely like that : some of this gangs (Red Skins or Red Warriors for example) were but most of those gangs more anti-racist, supporting diversity against fascists/nazis that felt that immigration was a problem.
It's from that time (80s) that "chasseurs de skins" ("skinheads hunters") was originated because in France, there is no communist skinheads any more, so the only skinheads left are the boneheads... Therefore, skinheads means boneheads.

Y'all don't understand french but here are two good documentaries about the bands/gangs in Paris from the 60's to the 2000s
The first one is about the beginning of the movement, it talks about the early years where there was a true political war between parisian gangs (neo-nazis/rightists VS communists/leftists) even if it was country-wise.

The second talks about the schism that happened in the late 80s when neo-nazis began rarer because the war was won by the communist/leftist gangs. With less neo-nazis but a growing descendants of immigrant people and suburbian groups rising the gang problem became about rivalries between hoods and territories mixed with illegal business.

I was reading a story on racism in Italy(on ESPN, great article ), the shyt thats going on there is What i dont understand is If countries in Europe dont want immigrants comin' in their country, why do they go in regions like Africa/Asia, destabilize countries and not expect natives of said countries to leave in search of better life in Europe??
And when everybody looks alike. Religion becomes the deciding factor.
