Honestly, Undisputed fell off a minute ago. I'll still watch it here and there when I'm not working but for the most part the topics are redundant as fukk, Shannon's comedy is getting stale and Skip has become tiresome as well rehashing the same ol shyt.

Jenny is a good moderator but I liked Joy Taylor a whole lot more.

I'm not a huge fan of First Take but that show is clearly better than Undisputed right now. They're slightly more diverse with they're topics and Steph/Max have better debates.

The Magic Johnson ep after his departure from LA proved that they're better.

Some people think he's funny. I dont, but his personality is one that makes you WANT to argue with him as a host and that is what gets the ratings. Thats the appeal. Skip is the progenitor of that. Those two fed off eachother well.

I don't think it will happen because Skip likes to talk Cowboys for 3/4 of the show during football season with that last 1/4 centered on LeBron. I'm not sure ESPN gives him the freedom to do that again if he comes back.

You dont get informed listening to former players? Or are you also mad that some people on that show have different non sports views as you?

Imagine every person in the world who gets paid for their basketball knowledge (not hot takes, actual knowledge). Coaches, staff, trainers, etc. Now, how many of those do you think gain their wisdom and insights from watching cable hot take shows?

Those guys aren't paid to educate you. They are paid to entertain. Once in a blue moon a player might drop some knowledge, but most of the time they're just trying to say the most entertaining thing possible too, partly because they angling for their own spot and partly because it's human nature to give people what they want to hear.

People who learn basketball from cable shows are the same people who learn news and current events and science and history from cable. With the same outcomes.
