People want to be entertained...not informed. You have to look at the demographics of their core audience. In order to standout in sports media you have to be loud and audacious. If not, you're someone that can be easily replaced.

as far as folks saying Cowherd that is not gonna happen. Cowherd is his own entity. He the only one on fox sports that has his own show. That would be a definite downgrade. Everyone else has a co-host from skip to whitlock to broussard to nick wright.


Also Fox needs to change up their daily agenda. Its all cowboys and Lebron all day everyday. Colin the only one that talks about other stuff.

Skip not leaving, this is just reporting through the back channels to keep fox on the heels so when it's time to reup fox cut the check.

Fox not letting undisputed break up. That show kicked started the whole channel. No other programming is made possible without skip and shannon. Although the herd brought a lot over as well. Disney would have to drop a BAG to get skip back over there and with stephen a locked in, they don't feel they have to.

Paying SAS the amount of money they did shows satisfaction with their viewership. Even if SAS & Skip pulled in more than those current projections together how much business sense would it make to pay skip 10 mil a year for an extra 100k eyeballs a year?

If Skip & Shannon go viral as much as they do and are still only pulling in less than half of First Take I can only imagine how their other offerings are performing

Skip’s not leaving. Undisputed has done a great job adapting to the cord cutting era and First Take is playing catch-up. Skip has way too much control to go back to ESPN. And the weather is better in LA

Its not really making any impact, not sure why they would give Skip another 20 Mil to struggle to get 130K viewers a day
CBS Sports and NBC Sports didn't even try after a few months because ESPN bought all the content
FS1 had UFC but ESPN took that from them and they have no nightly content like the NBA to build an audience outside of Monday mornings after NFL
They killed their Sportscenter with those 2 Canadians after only a few months because it was a waste of time
Cowherd makes still makes money on the radio side so he's fine
FS1 has no nightly content to build the audience off of
I'm not sure why they are wasting their time
