When the year started five NBA GM's called Draymond the best power forward in the league. Only AD and Lebron got more votes. He was 2nd-team ALL-NBA last year, made the last two all-star teams, may be about to win DPOY, and last year would have been Finals MVP if the Warriors had held on the last five minutes.
Now why would the media overrate him? He's not flashy. He doesn't put butts in the seats. He doesn't have a natural fan base. He plays dirty. He talks crap to the media and even embarrasses them. Plus, building him up makes Curry/Durant/Klay not look as special, and those are guys that they WANT to build up.
Why not just realize that Draymond only gets the attention that he gets because he really is a unique talent, the once-a-decade guy who can totally take over a game without scoring, and leave it at that?
