Why isn't a guy like Miguel Cabrera intentionally walked every single at bat? It's the only sport where you can completely eliminate a star player. Its pretty much a loop hole in the system. It would also put incredible psychological pressure on the other team to perform. I wonder if any manager will ever take this approach. It seems smart.

At this point, he should be getting that Barry Bonds treatment. But that'll fukk you up too. I'm amazed at how many homers this guy Barry still got while being walked most of the time anyway.

Then again, Miguel's got a couple of guys around him that could easily drive him in as well. Simply walking him every at bat is taking an extra risk.
