To point out that sports leagues of smaller size typically do not have the conditions they are speaking of. She talks of commercial flights like it's similar to taking a broken down bus across the country, which is a reality for a lot of men's leagues.

Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, etc drove through the night on shytty buses just to arrive at another podunk stadium the next day. And WNBA players are going to complain about flying in a plane full of businessmen, ceo's, and other working people? I don't get their point.

And I'm not saying that they have no right to complain just because someone else has it worse. I'm saying that their conditions seem fine and that they should not be comparing themselves to NBA players in the first place because they are nowhere near that level.
Yeah, except MLS players union want charter flights so they aren’t just milling around and accepting it like you tried to suggest.

I don’t care about minor league baseball either so I don’t get why you brought it up. Division 1 college FBS level football and b-ball teams travel charter.

The only thing I agree with is not comparing themselves to NBA players but they have a right to compare themselves to other pro sports athletes.

The league itself is massively profitable. So much so they can "underpay" stars like LeBron James so the Harrison Barnes's of the world can share in the wealth and the James' still can have contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars. The WNBA does not have the profits for a 50% revenue split, if they are even profitable at all.
We can’t even have this conversation when you don’t care to understand revenue sharing. Here is a hint, your job compensates you off revenue it generates. And there is a good chance the employees at your job are getting around 50% of that revenue.

Profits do not matter. They are called bonuses.

BRI between the players and the teams is based on profits and future expectations. You can't request a higher revenue share when the revenue you're requesting is probably already in the hole.
Unions in America have been requesting higher revenue since they started formalizing in early 20th century. Yes you can. But more than that, I think the WNBA players union wants to see the books. They won’t show it.

I guess they matter to the WNBA. Those women deserve exactly what they are getting. The league is subsidized by the NBA. The women play less than half the games the men play yet they somehow deserve a 50% revenue split? :heh: bytch go play in China.

the nba subsidizes the wnba....without nba money, the wnba would fold within a year. Since the wnba officials/lawyers struck that deal with the NBA, they believe that they should get majority share because they are the reason the wnba is surviving, not because of the players skill.

of course the nba is the opposite.....advertisers would still make deals with players if there were no league officals or lawyers.

technically nba players are underpaid and wnba players are overpaid

it is reasonable to ask for more compensation, but she didn't have to disrespect Harrison Barnes like that, because it takes more effort and skill to be an nba all star than a wnba one
The issue is how much is the NBA subsidizing? You realize you don’t know this right? It’s never been publicly shared.

We also don’t know what will happen in any of your scenarios. We talking strictly about players want more of a share. We also don’t know if WNBA players are underpaid or if nonstarter players are underpaid or overpaid.

Where’s the money going to come from? Simple question, not so simple answer.

Idk why they keep arguing this. It's lowkey embarrassing for women because it makes it look like we don't understand supply and demand.

Female strippers earn more then male strippers because more ppl come out to see and spend money on female strippers. Not because the female strippers are "more talented".

nba players are clearly underpaid...thats why the salary cap was created.. to give these owners a break.....bron, kd, curry should be making 200 million a year (even non starters should be making 30-50 million a year because they are crucial to a team's success and nba rosters are so small) because espn is giving the nba 2.5 billion per year.

besides wnba players are paid more than g-league players...... the g-league is more important for the nba's success
