I cant believe I'm agreeing with all yall criticims of him lol. Sky is one of my favorites, but it's crazy that his weaknesses 10+ yrs in the game are the same as when he was w/9th in the early days 06-09.

Like everyone in this thread, I like Skyzoo, but these criticisms are spot on. I also REALLy hate that "punchline laugh" shyt he does. That shyt that Fab does all the time and a few other cats that I think Jay started. That lil half laugh before he drops a line on some "I'm so clever I crack myself up, peep this" type shyt.
But having said that, overall he's a dope MC with a few bangers under his belt.

lmao @ the criticism of skyzoo i think that's spot on. its weird cuz everyone says he's a dope mc but no one seems to really listen to him. i think a lot of his shyt is rhyming just to rhyme and trying to be too clever for his own good. sometimes you can't tell if he just spit one of the greatest entendres you've ever heard or if it was one of the greatest dhalsim reaches of all time or if it just didn't make any sense at all
that being said i think he's dope. some really great stand out tracks but i can't really say i actually go out of my way to listen to him. i don't have his shyt on my playlist at all times like i do say freddie gibbs
i think he killed this shyt though (beat fire too anyone know the sample?)
edit: i just listened to that track again and he opens the verse doing that repeating the same word shyt

Torae is light years beyond Skyzoo my man. And i'm a fan of both, so that aint a knock on Sky. But IMO, Torae is the illest cat to drop in the last 10 or so years. Been up on him since The Coalescence. Only cat on his level since that time to me has been Roc Marciano.

i guess i disagree with most you here... i feel production is always the WEAK point with sky
he usually is on mediocre, boring beats with no replay value. i feel Live from the tape deck is his best overall work because the production fit him so well.
