Celpa and the teen then walk together to a W. 126th St. building near Broadway that’s part of the Manhattanville Houses complex with the victim in pursuit.
:jbhmm:
At one point Celpa can be seen on video striking Jimenez — who appears to be armed with a knife — in the head and then repeatedly swinging at the victim as he staggers backwards, court documents show.
:mjtf:
The pair then flee into the building’s stairwell, but a wounded, knife-wielding Jimenez follows hot on their tails and another struggle ensues that ends as the victim succumbs to his wounds.

He shouldn’t have followed them with a knife if he knew they had a gun. Trying to act tough and now he’s dead. I’d claim self defense.
They can‘t claim self defense because they threaten the victim first with a gun.

Nah, the article says the kid raised his shirt to show the victim he had a gun initially but he didn’t pull it. The law requires people to try to de-escalate a situation if they can before using force and they did by walking away. He followed them to a whole different location with a knife in his hand. It’s reasonable for anybody to feel like they need to defend themselves in that situation especially a 16 yr old vs a grown man. He deserved it.

The 16 year old is cooked.

The other one who was fighting hands vs knife might be able to skate on self defense.

Brought a knife to a gun fight when he knew they had a gun. Over territory to sell weed in a state where Ock is selling the same thing in stores legally.

RIP but he was hustling backwards

He’s definitely getting time over the gun regardless but who knows. Kay Flock just got found not guilty for killing somebody on camera a month or two ago in NY. I would at least tell my lawyer that’s the angle we’re taking and see what kind of plea deal I could get.
