Laughterhouse is the team that talked about how dedicated they were in the offseason to winning a championship, how much better they were than other teams in the league as well as great teams throughout history, how their centerfielder figured out a new batting stance that ensured he would hit 75 homeruns, and how they were going to bring baseball fans that ill style of play they've been missing... then went out and struck out a lot, committed bunch of errors, and finished dead last with minimal attendance. Much more embarrassing.

I agree with your analogy up until the last two sentences. I think Slaughterhouse wound up looking like the Heat the first year they had Lebron. Everyone expected them to win it all because of the team they had but they just didn't make the grade.

Being objective, I think the WORST you can say is they looked like the Lakers this year. But to try to say they're like the Wizards is

Whether you think they're corny or not, you can't say they have not put out a bunch of dope songs (e.g. "Slaughterhouse", "Onslaught", "Truth or Truth".)

I wouldn't call them the worst group, but they're prolly the most disappointing one. First album was aight though.

Their biggest problem was that they tried to please everyone instead of making what they're good at. All those party songs come off forced as hell.

that'll lead them right because clearly as a group they
lack direction.

They failed because they completely abandoned whatever
identity set up before their second album and instead
started chasing dollars, dropping a terrible damn album.

They had the chance to do some really great sh1t but
instead decided to squander it. Royce ? Joe ? Joell ? Crooked ?
They all have great solo material and their first album was good
but they dropped the ball on their major label debut I still
think the talent is there to drop some amazing sh1t I just don't think

and on top of that, their music has always been extremely corny, at least when theyre together as a group.

theres only like 3 good songs on their 1st album. "microphone" is the best but people are losing their minds in here calling it a classic. its nowhere near a classic.

To me a song like this extremely entertaining. It doesn't need a dope beat or a hook to be a good song. I like all forms of hip-hop, I like 2 Chainz, Dom Kennedy type stuff, I like Lupe, Roots type stuff.. but my favorite kind of hip-hop is battle rap songs.. so that's why I'll always enjoy Slaughterhouse.

Hip Hop is more than just "Bars" and "Battle Raps".
A lot of their best music as solo artists is because they matured as artists
and wrote songs with concepts, not just punchline after punchline.
Even their first album was dope when they wrote songs with concepts and didn't focus on just getting the next punchline in.

And yes they're a perfect example of dudes who weren't corny then they
dropped an album that made the label "Corny" perfectly fine.
