Here Comes The Pain is the best wrestling game ever. Gameplay is fire, no annoying commentary, piff branching season mode, great CAW mode and the GOAT roster, you got Austin, Hollywood Rock, HHH, Michaels, Goldberg, Lesnar, Undertaker, Kane, Angle, Benoit, Jericho, Eddie, Edge, Christian, Flair, Orton, Cena, Batista, RVD, Booker...

I still play it on occasions with my nikkas, my dope CAWs like Razor Ramon, Hollywood Hogan, Jake Roberts, Faarooq, Bradshaw, Sting, Maven, Steve Blackman, New Age Outlaws, X-Pac etc

HCTP had his legit entrance, the handsprings after a DDT, and even the self-applause and pointing to his head after doing moves like the Samoan Drop





Depressing how the game released more than a decade earlier has more attention to detail and accuracy

Here Comes The Pain even though I was salty as hell when I realized Jeff Harvey wasn't in it .
Gamplay was much faster and fluid than SYM and it was the first game that would see the elimination chamber match type , however I can go back and play either one for hours.
Can't forget the Triple Threat Tag team ladder matches either. shyt was crazy and still can't believe non of the newer games allow you to do that

However the thing that pissed me off was the clothesline followed by the head point, he actually kicked Austin in the leg then pointed. I hate how every year they take out more moves. HCTP has the best moves like Hurricanes clothesline and the jumping spinning sidekick to the head. I have a feeling 2k15 on next gen will be like how madden 06 was on the 360.

The story mode on SYM is my favorite ever. I remember a storyline where someone on your show is actually undercover for the other brand. Was fun to play through.

But yeah as the overall better game gotta go with hctp
