It Was Written brought me back to the east coast. Everything was death row and west coast gangsta rap for me. Nas brought me to boom bap. It Was Written has Nas' best songs on it

IWW

I like LAD but I never really loved it like a lot of people do. There's a lot of weak sauce on there mixed with some phenomenal songs

IWW is just amazing throughout, plus it introduced me to Nas.

Life After Death. Nas is my favorite rapper and IWW is one of my favorite albums, but Disc 1 of LAD is almost flawless and there's only two or three weak/wack songs on Disc 2.

Life after death easily, it still sounds new to this day while iww sounds like a dated 90's album.

Ready To Die is better than Life After Death imo. I’d definitely take both over It Was Written.
