"I see, you staged the argument to distract him"
If Lamb didn't push Whelan out he was gonna end up in Slough House in a couple of years![]()

I actually love that unlike his top agents, Jackson actually listened to everything in the tape recorder.Imagine Claude having to work under Jackson in Slough House - the combination of Lamb, Claude and Roddy would’ve been ultimate fukkery
Claude might’ve been the MVP this season - that scene at the end when he was puffing out his chest because he thought he fukked over Jackson, only to realise Jackson had done him was top tier
Every now and then I start to think "He's too good for this place. This is his journey of redemption..." then this show reminds me they're all bums![]()

He probably knew that with Ho involved they were gonna pin the whole thing on slough house, if the recorder didn't fall on his lap he probably had something ready with Tavarner to get rid of him if needed.Question for y'all (no book spoilers please)
But was Lamb running game on Claude the whole time?
River spent the whole season being useless and outperformed by everyone in Slough House, does one thing semi-right at the end and got the gall to talk about "I'm too fukking good, and you know it"
That scene with Claude and Lamb at the end had me dying. Claude's such a dumbass weasel
"checkmate, mate"
2 minutes later
"I was a bit premature, when I said checkmate I meant 'check', so I move and then you move and then"
