GREAT battle. I got Chess in a very close 2-1. Saga gets the first, even with Chess almost catching the ghost of Earl, and his angle in the 3rd was cringeworthy. Awesome battle by both.

Good battle. This was the best I've seen from both of them but I definitely should not have read the comments before watching this because I was expecting something next level from Chess' 2nd round. It was good but it's definitely not in the discussion for "Best Rounds Ever"...it's definitely one of the best rounds this year though.

I've got it 2-1 to Chess with him winning the 2nd & 3rd. I was leaning towards a 3-0 but he choked (literally) in the 1st. Saga didn't die though. He was fighting back but you can tell he alienates himself from the crowd when he raps about God so he doesn't get the reactions that he probably should get.

Also, does anyone think that Chess gets references to use from the older guys in Cakes? He's 18 and referencing shyt that some people my age (23) don't know.

funniest part of the battle was saga talking to shine and you can literally see it going in one ear and out the other.

Rewatching this now and I'm just now seeing the looks DNA and Shine were giving each other during parts of Chess' verses. They knew he was fukking saga up and also he's way more versatile than they thought.

That battle with Ave is gonna be crazy. I wanna see him up against nitty again, though. Or Roc in the future.

And his second verse is nuts. Completely dismantled sagas whole style and angle. Idk why he didn't bring this heat to that Reed battle. And anybody that gave that battle to reed, then ehh. The only thing that I'll give him is that he didn't embarrass himself like he did in the first battle. Other then that, he was 250% average.

Either way, chess is probably the most interesting and exciting battle rapper in a long time. Stage presence, delivery, flow and lyrics; he's a real hard person to deal with, imo. Especially if we see him continuing to be me aware and have several rhymes around his opponent's style.

I forget who is who, but I would love to see him battle marv/quest, whoever was on stage when he battled nitty. He's obviously on the same level as a lot of top level talent at url.
