he got roasted for reaching In battles back when he was serious

died against brizz on UFF

embraced the reach jokes and started making absurd reaches on purpose for laughs, but at the same time he SERIOUSLY got his delivery and performance on the level of Hitman Holla along with his already unorthodox flow. combine those and you got a nikka who can say shyt like "I drop classic after classic after classic" and the crowd goes crazy


he got more reactions in his first round alone than any of the other rookies we seen this year on the big stage

watch his battle vs. Dubby Dub, that's when he perfected it

yea Bill had bars for days, damn near every line had some shyt. he just didnt seem to have the haymakers that you need for the big stage

If you can't understand why DOT's ridiculous overperformance, hyped up voice/cadence, and absurd "bars" are entertaining and captivating to a forum full of fans who generally nitpick battlerappers, then you are either losing, or you just don't have that sense of humor. DOT isn't being judged on the same merits/qualities as say, Clips, Myers, Surf. He carved out his own absurd niche in battlerap. We don't watch *anyone* elses battles through the lens that we watch DOT, and that is what makes his shyt unique. The young dude gave fans something different to look forward to that, as it stands, only he can do.

We all used to watch The Rock on Monday/Thursday nights.. but almost none of us gave a shyt about the actual matches he was in. We wanted them interviews, them rants, those moments of him verbally abusing anyone in range. Half of us probably didn't even care about the outcomes of his matches.. it was just pure entertainment. DOT tapped a part of battlerap that most of us considered minor/dumb (overperformance) and made it rock on stage.

DOT is everything I wanted Tec-9 to be. . .He can go far if he doesnt choke/stumble and has consistent haymakers in ALL his rounds

I finally saw the battle.

I felt like Dot edged it. His performance overwhelmed what Bill was doing. Bill knew it just by his demeanor. This battle is the whole cause of his "fukk URL" campaign going on.

Bill could have took this, because this was really a light version of Dot.
