Shine mistaking Geechie for 60 was cringe but I will say living in LA, I know LA gang members don't respect NY gang members...but here's the thing, it's the same but it's different. A lot of gang sets origins do go back to Cali but some don't. Some are it's own entity and literally only have the term (Blood, Piru or Crip) as the connection so they have different codes

What LA nikkas don't know, you come to NY saying "Y'all fake Bloods and Crips" you gonna get you're head blown smooth the fukk off. So just relax. It don't really matter. NY nikkas guns works exactly the same as theirs.

i can understand people feeling like you should be better informed on the origins , i would agree that you should if you are going to use gang shyt as an angle, but at the same time that doesn't make you fake or soft, that is determined strictly by how you handle yours, where I can understand is when people like KG say on the west its some cultural shyt where there are going to be more people showing up that don't know how to make that it's battle rap distinction when it comes to that, but yea real ones exist everywhere
