Yea I said something similar earlier in the thread.. This might go down as Nittys absolute peak battle, but on the short term, it builds an anticipation that he probably can't quell. He had too many bars. The Ave flips were everywhere.
It's already a tall order to beat Roc on stage. Now he has to best Roc and at least nearly match what fans expect. shyt got me worried that he's going to flame out.

Because he clearly didn't watch the battle enough times to make a statement like that which he confirmed. If he did definitely wouldn't give it to Steams.

I disagree. He has always been in this mode. Crowds usually either know the pill they're swallowing with him or show up sleep. His battle with O Red showed just how sleep a crowd can be. This one was gas turbine but it still has the same common denominator. His battle with Danny shows exactly what was to come with him and he hasn't disappointed.
Nitty misses a lot because of his small voice and obscure movie references. O Red gave him a dogfight even with the choke. Rex beat him admittedly with 2 rounds of old bars. I believe Nitty was supposed to catch that "the lady in 1D" verse but Rex saved it for the stash.
He's not about to fizzle. Just because a crowd is sleep doesn't mean he's not flames. He's gonna keep those lines coming.

He's saying his punchlines are fire, but people don't get the set ups to his haymakers til later on.
And police didn't get Henchman's set up (Drugs, Murder) til later on. He just connected the two. and the "I'm dope" just extended the punch
