SMACK/URL: Unfinished Business 2 Live Update/Discussion Thread

On June 4, URL was supposed to put on its "Unfinished Business 2" event, but the venue booked for the event shut down. The staff scrambled to find somewhere else on short notice, but the climate for booking hip hop shows after the deadly shooting at Irving Plaza during a T.I. concert on May 25 made finding a suitable venue impossible. URL was forced to postpone the show, but now the league has announced when and where the new card will be going down.

The new date for UB2 is July 9, at the Highline Ballroom in New York. The lineup is exactly the same as was scheduled before the change.

The full card is:

• DNA and K-Shine (NWX) vs. Tay Roc and Tsu Surf (Gun Titles)
• Shotgun Suge vs. Brizz Rawsteen
• John John Da Don vs. Big T
• Math Hoffa vs. T-Top

The league also announced an addition to the card: Rum Nitty vs. Charlie Clips.

new date is now June 11th, those who was coming in from out of town and can't make it to the rescheduling get a full refund and a free ticket to the next URL event.

And you'd think the world's most respected rap battle league wouldn't be on some local shyt with a move like this. But hey, they did Hitman's event dirty then you have other leagues like Go-Rilla, SupaNova, and etc. that's been curbed by them so, it's expected, I guess.
