I could see why Brizz was tight in the main event Smack let that lil nygga stumble for 30 minutes a Rd smfh. The battle was an hour for NO reason. Shyt I was yellin time ma damn self on Chess but nooooooooooo URL keep babyin' the lil nygga

Watching it live they cut him off I was like wtf why they do that at an event like this?

Then O-red immediately is like he rapped 20 seconds longer than me! On some naw don’t let him go shyt. Which Red ALWAYS does on some naw he ain’t going no 20 seconds longer than me.

Brizz was frustrated like yo you fukkin up the battle callin time. Didn’t seem like any battles had the time keeper til then which made it awkward. Brizz seemed frustrated over that and it escalated and honestly I was feeling the same frustration watching.

Plus for some reason dude who keeps time seems to enjoy pissing battlers off. He always grinning like he knew he fukked you up but don’t get why you mad. It’s almost like that dude likes some battlers not others.

O Red consistently is like T. rex in that he’s gonna be very vocal about you rappin even a little longer than him every time. And honestly it’s annoying.

O-Red would be an idiot not to play defense, he's a vet going behind enemy lines. Smack URL would clearly prefer a Brizz win, for obvious reasons. Just so happens that Brizz has his little issues with URL also. But that isn't O-Red's problem.

Also I hate rapper cryin bout other rappers going for half a minute longer or somethin. If you lost cause you're opponent went 30 extra seconds that's your fault.

Plus the only 2 rappers I can remember legit crying about time limits this frequently are O Red and T Rex. I'm not even saying O Red was being a crybaby or anything, or even that he was wrong. It just comes across weak.

People like Hollow or Tay Roc would almost certainly instantly be like naw let him rock. I like O red don't get me fukked up, I just felt Brizz.

I had the same reaction when they called time on him, like yo this Smack Volume 1, let him finish.

O Red one of the only rappers I seen turn to Smack and have like 3 separate 5 minute arguments bout time with during a battle (not this one)

aight this is what i have seen so far...

JC vs. New Jersey Twork - Great battle but JC's little slips cost him against a more developed New Jersey Twork. His bible flips and the way he wrote his angles against JC were fiyah. I feel like JC had some haymakers and room shakers that landed but not quite like Twork's. He actually impressed me this battle. Twork, 2-1.

Mike P vs. Shotgun Suge - Another random battle that turned out good. Everyone that bashed Mike P isn't even considering the fact he showed up. No slips, no stumbles, he is landing his bars, and the performance was on point. BUT he did lose. How? Suge has learned how to match his performance with his bars well enough now to where he can beat pen heavy opponents. Moral of the story for Mike P is good job but sometimes remember...less is more. He had some over the headers that didn't land like Suge's shyt did. Suge, 2-1.

Iron Solomon vs. Rum Nitty - I definitely said I didn't want to see Iron back on SMACK because KOTD basically, became his home league. And he does fine over there. BUT i have to stay...he showed the fukk up. Those Jordan flips and schemes in the beginning and all kinds of shyt he had for Nitty was hittin'. But this muthafukka Nitty...swings back and gets to one up Iron Solomon. I have Nitty winning but I'll be damned if Iron didn't let SMACK know he was back to work and restored his rep since the Mook battle. Rum Nitty, 2-1.

Chess vs. Chef Trez - I couldn't watch this. I mean did because, Chef Trez, one of my fav. who always cooked in my opinion (fukk y'all, I appreciate good freestyles), definitely let everyone know he was there to work. The ingest/in chess shyt he was doing was on point. Chess...I mean, what can we say...stumbles and chokes all three rounds to the point where this battle may get vaulted. I hope the fans and the league learned a valuable lesson about babying and caping for particular talent every time because of popularity and views. Chess is a very talented young man but he got to get those mechanics together on the stage and it should have really started when he was younger. Chef Trez 3-0.

B Magic vs. Ave - You mean to tell me...B Magic ducks this battle...took the bread and had beef with Beasley and the league...comes back only to cook at first a little but to then get sat down by Ave...who has been caught with 10-4s on bars all year. I'll be fukkin' damned. B Magic rushed through so much of his bars and I see he keeps trying to play with his style. But he should stop and not rush it anymore if he can't remember it that quick. And to top it all off, there's rumors Beasley messed up Magic beforehand putting him in a wrestling move or something over the bread, I dunno. Ave made sure he would fukk some shyt up in this battle. Ave 3-0.

O Red vs. Brizz Rawsteen - Aside from the dumb shyt with the time limits, I fukks with this battle heavy. Honestly, I agree if they let Chess choke throughout his battles at lengthy periods of times then they shouldn't have pulled that shyt with Brizz. And O Red is starting show patterns of time issues, too. Anyways, the fans won since it was definitely more of a headlining battle. I personally leaned towards Brizz because even his shyt talking was landing and it added to the battle. But if someone has O Red, I can feel that. Both of them deserve plates for future events. Debatable 2-1 either way.

I haven't seen Danny Myers vs. K-Shine yet but I am happy to hear Danny was on his shyt and the weirdo fans that shyt on him mostly gave him credit.

I'm thinking I'm about to watch twork destroy jc and it's lopsided and it's honestly a debatable battle, just like jc vs illmac was debatable, just like jc vs bigg k was debatable, only clear loss he has imo is vs t top due to top performance, wasn't like jc didn't come to fight in that battle, with this one I edge twork because jc performance wasn't clean. Gotta deduct points for that.

The extremism in battle rap is making the culture corny. Nikkas be saying shyt "clear" when it's a 50/50 60/40 split and shyt. Nikkas be saying somebody caught a body when the opponent won a round in that battle smh

Nah I think illmac battle is debatable but k and t top beat him clearly. Now twork. His material was just lackin this battle and he was rappin like he was in a closet. He got out performed and lowkey outrapped and I didn’t think that was possible here.. JC used to be really good at just talking to you in a way that made you seem unimportant if you were new. Now, he’s rappin really slow and attempting to be aggressive but it’s not comin off natural.

This is kinda how I see the lux battle going. jc rapping well but doing nothin else and gettin overpowered in every other area.
