SmackDown finally going LIVE starting July 19!!! Brand split returning.

Is Raw still going to be 3 hours? Is SD going to be 3 hours? It would seemed kinda odd if it's a brand split but one show is longer than the other

For as much talent as the E has right now, this is the best move. With all the returns (Cena, Rollins, Orton, Wyatt family), and people like Balor, Samoa Joe and Bayley ready to move up, this is necessary. Also, gotta fit in Brock when he shows up 3-4 times/year.

I still think one world champion who is on both shows. One guy has to show he can be man in the company. Also, should be one women's champ, and one set of Tag titles (please get rid of those terrible belts they have now). All 3 of those should be on both shows. Would be good to see a champion who has 2 main #1 contenders coming at them on both shows.

They should add a new title on both shows though for undercard cats to strive for: TV title on one show, European on the other. The cruiserweight type title should be added into NXT after this classic, maybe hyping up a big title defense on Smackdown every now and then.

That's basically what Smackdown was when Heyman was in charge then Vince took the best of them to RAW including Cena leaving Smackdown with scraps

I think this is a good idea, they should've kept the brand split in the first place. Raw is going to have to go back to 2 hours though.

A few of my personal ideas: Keep the WWE championship as the 1 main title. Have the WWE, Tag & Womens titles featured on both shows. US Title on Raw, IC title on Smackdown. Bring back the Cruiser weight title for Smackdown, and the hardcore/extreme rules title for Raw. Have a refresher draft every year to shake up the rosters a bit.

Everyone gets a chance to get some tv time, and they should split the house shows to be brand specific as well.

Vince still has final say on SD. Not like NXT.

But I will still enjoy it while it's fresh. I always loved the drafts. I remember some writer said they were legit and no one knew where who was going though I'm not sure I believe that cause what were the odds of Cena being drafted to the B show them coincidentally back to Raw the same night

I don't like it

I get that the roster is fairly deep, although that's mainly at the top of the card (provided everyone is fit). But the midcard/IC title scene is fairly well balanced as it is with lots of potentially interesting matches without anyone really losing their spot. You stretch that between two rosters and we're gonna be getting even more tired rematches than ever.

I'd much rather they just made Smackdown a relevant show without splitting the rosters. If you don't have time for everyone on Raw then let a major storyline develop on Smackdown. At the end of the day if they're still going to mix the rosters on the PPV shows then there is going to be the same amount of spots as there was before. Cats will still get lost in the shuffle and while they'll take Smackdown seriously for a while in the end it'll become the secondary irrelevant show.

Yep, at least give it a chance first. I mean the brand split did give us the SmackDown Six back in 2003 and a great 2009 SmackDown. So let's just see how it goes first
