I used these things called Fat Gripz a while back, borrowed them from my buddy who was taking a break from the gym

Got very good forearm results from using them....
Again..another simple but clever idea.

Rather than paying the ridiculous price for them...before I returned them to my buddy.....I got different size foam pipe insulation

cut the size I need and just use them the same way as the Fat Gripz

The trackball uses different muscles, so my wrists and fingers been good instead of using a crappy mouse, can never go back
