Smarks Praising Smackdown Over RAW Prove They Don't Know What They Want

I think the writing on Smackdown is better than RAW, but it's not really that much better for people to be saying SD is the superior show. The problem to me is these idiots can't figure out how to write for a three hour show. RAW has been three hours for YEARS, and they still haven't figured it out.

Smackdowns 2 hour format and booking that moves stories forward are the reasons I like it more.

It's AJ and Miz and that's about it.. Corbin has been floundering since the draft until they finally started using him better the last couple of weeks. Compare that to RAW where Strowman is quickly moving up to a top of the card monster heel role and has been used very effectively.

Wyatt's have been OK but there's really no rhyme or reason to the Orton thing and they dropped the straps way too fast. American Alpha aren't over at all because of the lack of creative work for them, but nobody on SD's tag division have had the kind of character development like Cesaro and Sheamus.

Slater and Rhyno had a spark for a couple of weeks, but they done now, and there's no doubt in my mind the same creative team that wrote that Enzo/Rusev trash wrote the Slater trailer park skit, so there's garbage on both shows.

Smackdown is a good show. It's written well and it's cohesive.

People like it because the focus is on the wrestlers. THats it. It aint that deep.

It's short, it's fun, good matches, storylines make sense. It's just better. It aint perfect, but wrestling in NO TIME IN HISTORY has been all aruond perfect.

The answer to Smackdown live being so much better is Ryan Ward. This is the same black guy that worked with HHH on NXT and helped it develop a cult-like fan base. His writing adds fluidity and growth in characters without forced storylines. I mean....who would've thought Randy Orton would've looked good with the Wyatts (pause)?

Dean is looking like the better shield member strictly off of story alone.

Put Ryan Ward as the same lead writer on Raw and look how great KO, Jericho, Seth and even Roman Reigns Will improve.

That guy will never get the credit that he deserves. Ppl til this day still thinks HHH should take Vince place but imo they should pass the mantle over to Shane/Ryan Ward in the sense that Dunn/Vince have creative control. These old racist fukks need to hurry up and croak along with Linda McMahon and HHH needs to have a roid-inducted heart attack asap.

That was his story arch though, he starts out squashing jobbers to get him over as a monster (old school shyt) and then starts demanding better competition, destroys the roster until he gets it, now he has this gutty little rassler who in Zayn who thinks he can take him on, now he's slowly starting to dabble with the main event guys (although i think it's too soon).

Corbin has had no direction, some random ass nothing matches with Swagger, Kalisto and Ziggler over and over again with no real purpose. But dudes hype that shyt up to be something way more than it is because of this Smackdown fetish

Charlotte keeps winning on ppv...horrible. incredibly stupid and short changes the whole division. Jericho and Stroman are the other things that stand out. Rest of the show is garbage. And how is that any different than than the tag straps being hot shotted around to different people? Or Dolph Ziggler still being presented as a main eventer? That's what I'm saying. Nobody is saying the tag division is the bread and butter of Smackdown.

Smackdown has AJ doing good matches, pushes for American Alpha and Corbin, Talking Smack lighting angles up, Miz/Maryse/Ambrose/Renee...Alexa Bliss in general. These things are working well over a two hour period. There is nothing garbage of a well paced show with progressive angles because u damn sure aren't getting that on Raw. Stephanie kicking off Raw to go at the Rebel's fans? Horse shyt. Stupid. Dumb.

I agree with him in principle - I've been catching up on all the shows and Smackdown has largely been better. This has nothing to do with "smarks" though. Raw easily has the better and more exciting roster, even with the brilliant AJ Styles on Smackdown. The problem with Raw is the same that it's always been, and that's lazy writing. This guy isn't saying anything that the so-called "smarks" haven't already been saying about Raw. I was happy Owens became champ because I have always liked him as a performer, but I expected his reign to be lukewarm (funnily enough, his reign has been worse than that so far).

Smackdown's writing/booking is noticeably better despite having less time and an arguably less talented roster, and I can't help but wonder if that has to do with the fact that Ryan Ward is the main writer for the show - he had a great run in NXT when it was at it's most popular. Everyone has looked pretty decent to me. Ziggler is relevant again, Miz is the best he's ever been, AJ is AJ, Ambrose is getting back into his groove, as is Wyatt. Even Orton, the most boring fukker on the roster, is interesting again. They had a triple threat between AJ, Ziggler and Corbin and, strangely enough, Corbin did not look out of place.

Contrast to Raw. Massive talents like KO, Rollins, Cesaro, Zayn, Sasha, some of the Cruiserweights not named Kendrick or Perkins - there is so much talent all being booked like garbage. Only two people are being booked well so far on Raw: Charlotte and Braun Stroman. I actually like Stroman, he's the one thing that they've consistently gotten right. Even Nia Jax hasn't been handled well enough. This guy is completely correct in his assessment of Raw, but the only incorrect thing is that he assumes this is Raw giving the smarks what they want . Everyone I know who could be identified as a smark has BEEN complaining about booking . This guy is late!
