Smart tv

So I have a 60 inch sharp smart tv and I'm wondering if you brehs actually use the smart tv functions. I've not used it sense I really enjoy using my roku on the other input channel but I do have it connected to my router...

For those of you who use smart tv what do you use it for? My direct tv has YouTube but I prefer looking at secondary stuff on my iPad.

All my TVs are hooked up to PCs so I don't use any smart TV functions other than Netflix or when lying in bed I browse YouTube on my iPad and play the videos on my TV if the PC is off.

the regular streaming options..

but if i had to do it over, i would've just went with a normal tv and a roku or something of that sort.

i bought my parents a Chromecast.it in no way replaces smart TV apps. after using their's extensively i'd rather use my smart TV apps if i had to. its basically for people who don't have HDMI video cards on their PCs or laptops. if you have that a Chromecast is worthless.

taking it a step further at home i have no Google Chromecast and on my smart TV i have the same icon on my Youtube, Netflix, and Hulu apps and can broadcast streams of them to my TV straight out of the box.
