I will preface this by saying I have dated white women, have no issue with IR relations etc so I'm not on that segregation wave. That being said...it's time people acknowledge the role white women play in white supremacy. A lot of white women rebel in their youth, protest conservative policies, fight for women's rights (and civil rights)...but then they get married to a white man and settle down. And as the money piles in and the children arrive, their focus shifts from en vogue interests to protecting the job/wealth of their husband and securing the future for their children. They may never verbally or even mentally describe what they're doing...but they know. They realize they exist as a member of a larger ideal or system that needs to be preserved.
Why would this woman, who knew she had violated the park's law, threaten to call the cops? Why would she pretend to be harassed/attacked? Because she realized the same thing. She expected that black man to run away for fear of the cops, or to stay and be arrested by the cops. Because that system, which she is a member of, destroys black men when it comes to legal issues. She knew the cops might kill that man, or beat him up, or arrested him...and she was fine with wielding that threat despite knowing she was in the wrong. She is fully integrated in the system of whiteness.
We might allow it.
