I've never blamed my addiction on a dealer, I took responsibility for my actions. And got the help I needed. But I also recognize that I grew up in a family that were all addicts. My parents did the best they could to raise me, but I also was surrounded by people who used substances as coping mechanisms since I was a kid so when you're surrounded by unhealthy coping mechanisms and not positive ones, you'll grow up thinking that's the way. You learn unhealthy ones because there's no one to reinforce healthy ones. It'll have a negative affect of the way you cope with life.

All I'm saying is for a forum who understands that kids who grow up in the hood can be fall victim to the wrong path and turn to the streets if they don't have positive role models should be able to understand how or why someone would become an addict.
