I really don't get why holding a grudge or being angry about something from the past hurts people so much. It's like people are very afraid of that and act like it's going to kill them if they stay angry about something that happened in the past.
If something terrible like that happened to someone I cared about I would be mad and hateful towards whoever caused it for the rest of my life. Have some heart damn.

Why do people have something against forgiveness?
Cool, you wouldn't have done it, gotcha! We dig it. You don't have compassion the way some others do.
Because that has nothing to do with Christianity. There's no passage in the Bible whatsoever that says to forgive someone that shot your grandfather in the head. They killed people for less in the Bible. You dudes definitely didn't study the Crusades in school.
Me personally, I couldn't do it. I'd still hold a lot of resentment and hatred against someone who killed my family. With time, I could let go but not within 2 or 3 days.

Fair enough, but maybe they not doing it for all that...maybe they just forgiving for them, so THEY can move on. So you can only forgive if you're Christian?
