Aaliyah can't sing? She may not be no damn Whitney Houston, or even a Mary J., but she was from the 90s, and back then, they would have called her out if that was the case. You acting like she was Britney Spears.

See Janet Jackson..TLC and Total...nobody would've called anything out if good music is being made...

All I heard was the truth...Aaliayh been replaced by countless Pop-RnB chicks...She didn't leave a hole in the game...

Pop-RnB didn't lose a step because Aaliyah died...It stayed in the same trajectory...And Timbaland himself implied that Aaliyah was not a workaholic...She liked to travel and fool around, instead of recording more songs...

With the way the game is moving so fast, her beauty would have deterioated with age, her voice wasn't exceptional, her music wasn't soulful and timeless, it was HEAVILY carried by brilliant Timbo beats that have become outdated...

I don't think she would have been able to compete with Rihanna for that Queen of Pop-RnB spot...

This is just the reality of the game...

Nah I wouldn't compare her to a Drizzy or Jhene Aiko...and think about it...there were artists with weaker voices blowing up heavy...like TLC...and Total....none them could really sing like that...they were more harmonizing...so Drizzy had more than Aaliyah to look too for that lane....matter of fact...the biggest of them all..Janet Jackson couldn't really sing like that..

well yea, im a total fan too - at least when they were puff's project(i didnt like the timbaland stuff).

if we were to make a spinoff hall of fame for just modern rap-influenced r&b acts, then hell yea they'd be in. i'd vote for aaliyah too. f*ck it.
