I don't know if I'd say R. Kelly made Aaliyah. He's worked with other female talents who were arguably better than Aaliyah and they didn't have the same success (Changing Faces, Sparkle). Her writers and producers and team are a huge part of her success, but some credit has to be given to her ability to bring it all together.
