M$ ain't releasing this as just a console upgrade. Their whole strategy for years is to have an homogenous ecosystem between whatever they put out. Their mobile division failed but their pcs and Win10 is strong enough now Scorpio will be the next step. Sony already won the console market for years to come. But they don't compete with Steam or things like Amazon Fire/Roku like M$ wants to do with UWP.

Comparing this release with the Pro just for console games is shorting what they're gonna be doing with the hardware.
