According to the Holy Quran, some humans did change.
The thing about Prophet Muhammad that makes him stick out among the other prophets is the fact that he didn't start off making a name for himself in foreign lands like I believe all of the prophets before him had to do.
His first converts was his own family and close associates.
The people that saw all his flaws... washed his dirty draws, seen him cry when he hurt himself as a young child, experienced him get angry at trivial things, understood his humanity.
The people that knew him best in totality.
And he didn't do it by force.
He did it by the conviction in his words and the universal truths that he seemed to pull from nowhere, but was instantly recognizable and understood on a very deep level by anyone that heard what he was saying.
That's a helluva feat, even in today's age.
