What you just said, he knew, but he claims he didn't have any opportunity to find anything else because he was there to play ball and write papers like the one above. I think he had a lot to do with how the UNC investigation started - or at the very least he helped bring a lot to light. He said he was supposed to get a big settlement from both the NCAA and UNC though. I hope he got the money

i think they edited some scenes out once it got released to video... if i recall correctly they had some shyt in there like a "playing chicken in traffic" scene that some dumbass kids tried in real life and... well you can guess the outcome

its written at a 3rd, mayb 4th grade level. i could see myself writing that same shyt in crayons back when i was 8 years old if i had a HW assignment about civil rights

i cant even get into all that. it goes so much deeper than the athletics . from the big blue chip Division 1 mega-schools having their athletics departments print money. whats worse are the Seven Sister / Oberlin Group type of Liberal Arts schools in the North East with undergrad class sizes of like 2000 kids but endowments of 1 billion dollars
NYU is basically a tax exempt Real Estate Investment Trust at this point , charging kids $60k a year and ruining entire neighborhoods. I cant tell anyone what works but if you're not a "legacy kid" of an Ivy or big name rep school with your academic career planned out when you're younger... 2+2 split between a community college and then a state school is the move. these schools have all sorts of money. I met the dude Henry Louis Gates and was doing work for him that involved me having access to some of his financial history. NYU and other schools have him on payroll as an adjunct or consultant giving him bread we can only dream of. Not saying him specifically but there are so many snake oil salesmen in academia; its one of the greasiest hustles out there. the dude henry louis gates had NYU paying for a sick apartment for him in manhattan in perpituity for doing almost nothing. and he was only in NY like once or twice a week

its easy to shyt on the NCAA and all the athletic scandals but no one says shyt about the "development departments" of these schools soft-arm extorting money from alum or special interest groups, not paying taxes, and all these professors who make millions a year doing jack shyt

i wish we could buy stock in schools/universities

These dude are playing their sport 50+ hours a week.

That's full time job along with a full time school work load.

That's the number one reason I say they should get paid; they are incentivized the prioritize sports over school work they don't have time to do.

Get injured or play poorly; you can lose your scholarship.

Grades slip and at 95% of these big schools you're gotta get "passed" to get you back on the court.
