This just isn't true, I've quit both cold turkey and had zero withdrawals symptoms, and I smoked a TON (10 or so blunts a day for years)
If anything I would just step outside out of reflex, remember I have nothing to smoke, then go back inside
Alot of that shyt is just mentality and alot of people are weak when it comes to vices, it's nowhere near as dramatic as quiting a drug that literally fukks you body up during detox
