You don't re-record music you own the masters to. It makes zero sense and literally everybody rerecording things are doing so to gain rights of the new version in hopes ppl will listen to that over the old version
Because it's not. Has showed zero signs of being so and I bet you couldn't tell me why.
Because he's been obviously getting paid to promote web3 shyt he doesn't understand or care about from this nft shyt to those scam "metaverses" where you buy land and shyt.
All of these celebs are being paid for it or are being ripped off. You seriously haven't seen just how far the nft scene has crashed in the past few months between thefts, nft holders being caught shifting them around to boost value, etc
It's probably easy to see the value once these projects are being described to you by the top people in the field. As far as anyone in the universe goes, Snoop Dogg is the most likely to be there if you pay him to be. I'm sure he's not that into having some property in some online Sims/Neopets type thing but that doesn't negate the value of it's the development, it just shows that people are heavily invested in marketing this stuff and their specific projects, putting Snoop Dogg alongside them adds value to those projects and he is probably pitched with investment opportunity that results in a symbiotic relationship between the growth of the brand . . . regardless there is definitely an upside to the advent of this new technology and I would have no doubt that Snoop sees that and his plan to have the #revamping Death Row on the blockchain will be the first steps of the future. I guarantee you that Prince would've been very interested in these methods of release and distribution
When I say revamping . .
The NFT world is really just digitized smart contracts which will be the underlying basis for the future of digitized media distribution. I've currently not seen anything in the NFT world that looks like anything more than micro-brand versions of Hello Kitty, seems like adults reconnecting with characters that may of intrigued them when they were child. Even as far as Hello Kitty goes I don't understand it beyond seeing it as a widespread logo, as far as I know therein lies the value. If you follow this through to it's logical conclusion and blow it out full-scale . . . if we really want a metaverse worth spending time in we are waiting on a GTA Online based virtual reality which is probably around the corner
