They clearly explained in the movie that Superman was incredibly strong. Much stronger than anyone, even his father anticipated . Mainly due to absorbing the suns ways from when he was a baby.

This is the type of holes you get with an uneven, noncohesive script. I had a feeling they were going to make Zod and his crew too powerful, and then you kill them off in anticlimatic fashion.

Zod was able to adapt faster as well to his new powers where as it took Superman time. That Theory is bullshyt. And just because Russell Crowe says his son is the best don't make it so.. i mean HE'S HIS SON what do you expect him to say
