That whole playful dancing gimmick that MC Hammer displayed was to purely sell records to a wider audience (basically cacs) but in actuality he was way more gangster then Pac and everyone else on Death Row. :mjlol:
This 100%.

Hammer was a real one and pretty much everyone says it nowadays. Pac was a poet and talented rapper but he was NEVER about that life. He went the gangsta route to sell albums instead of just being some militant rapper that can't push records.

It would be very interesting to see how Pac would be viewed if he was still alive. Instead of being immortalized as the Patron Saint of Hip Hop, folks would question his legacy.

Can't tell if he'd be a Jay Z mogul, Jamie Foxx all-everything talent or more Snoop Dogg family guy...maybe Ice Cube mixing business with politics.

The stuff that hammer was doing at the time was seen as selling out rap.
That was the avg rap fans pov on hammer only kids and white kids was listening to hm

Ultimately Hammer won and was proven right, and the gangsters and thugs lost..seeing how everyone is complaining about the music now.

Pacs legacy would be questioned I said before altho he’s not totally to blame he was the face of the east vs west beef n when the truth really came out about quad n the saving face etc that he did was exposed to the world I could see him getting grilled about it on interviews and radio stations n him having to admit he was in fact wrong n nikkas woulda been lookin at pac like they couldn’t trust a word he said after all that Mess that’s my honest opinion had he survived….

Yeah because he didn’t rap about being a gangster

Neither did Tribe Called Quest, but they made real hip hop music, Hammer made some bubblegum shyt that's the problem they had with him, the style of music, it had nothing to do with being gangster

yall c00ns and culture vultures really telling on yourselves

Hammer had positive lyrics, and tried to help a lot of people by giving them jobs.

He was no different than any other rap, other than he was wack, that's the problem people had with them, back then people took skills serious

that's why rap is garbage today, everything matters to yall accept actually being able to rap

This was at the end of his career when he changed up to fit in.

Tupac was a confused nikka getting his ass beat from Sactown The Bay Area and back down. I would called Oaktown 357 on that nikka.

Well,at least if your going to disrespect the goat and legend. You should prop up other legends in the proccess:wow:

The goat had the audience on his side . Everybody thought this about Hammer. But being a child I was one of his biggest fans, and wouldve called Pac a clown had i seen this back in the day. In retrospect we know all the adults hating were just ignorant and jealous. They were tainting the opinions of the youth about Hammer.

I agree with everything here breh I used to love those OAKTOWN 357 videos too. I remember watching RUN DMC talking about Hammer on Arsenio with my older cousins and not understanding the problem
