it depends on what type of work place it is and what type of dude you are to. i see what you're saying about fukking up the vibe but unless a chick is your boss or employee, or unless she doesn't respect you, what can a chick really do to fukk up your vibe? yeah, if the HR dept is really strict then yeah maybe it's best to just chill but at the end of the day, a lot of it comes from the fear of being "the bad guy". and a lot of us are like that. once the chick sees it in you, she knows that she can manipulate, guilt trip, threaten, makes scenes, act a fool, make complaints to HR... cause she knows it affects you.
but i know some dude who REALLY don't give a fukk about having that label and it actually works to their favor and here's why. see if you carry yourself like that and people already know what you're about, if the chick lets you fukk,, she's less likely to try the silly games on you to make you look like the bad guy cause to other people she'll look way more stupid. everyone already knows what you're about so they'll think "well she was looking for trouble anyway" and she knows that. so she'd rather end things cool and amicably in most cases (and be on the low).
but not everyone is built for that (i'm not for instance) so you gotta know yourself first.
