Only saving grace of this deal is that Kanter has less years than Anderson, that's about it. That and the team's gonna be awful which I guess is the biggest silver lining.

Even if Kanter picks up his option next year, this move saves NY a good bit of money, even more so if they decide not to pick up Mcdermott's, so there's the bright side to this trade.

Not mad. I never saw a scenario where we had all the leverage. This guarantees that we'll suck enough to get a high draft pick and have a shot at Porter or Doncic. The front office is already on record as saying we need to get younger and more athletic, so we can do they through the draft. I did think we'd at least get a first round pick tho
