Why would a preacher marry HER?

Question is: Why would she marry a preacher?

He's not a pastor. He does not have a church. He is Seventh Day Adventist and will occasionally get up and preach a sermon.

If I remember right, he has always had a thing for Meagan Good. He is an executive with Columbia Pictures. I assume Meagan married him because he could do things for her career. She did have a TV show a couple years ago, but it got cancelled. Also Meagan had hit 30 and was probably ready to settle down. Its the old stereotype: date the athlete, Thomas Jones, when you are young and settle down with the nerd when you get older.

He lost about 80% of his congregation and was desperate for money. He had to permanently shut his school due to lack of students. He also had some speaker show up that proclaimed him King, and that is the gif where he is being lifted in the chair. He was constantly pulling stunts to get people to give him money.
