I seen Action Bronson at a small as venue outside of Detroit with MAYBE 150 people.
He did half of his show in the crowd......
He passed out joints mixed with hash and weed for the crowd..... at least 15.
He filled MULTIPLE cups with henny and abso from the 2 liters he had THEN tipped the bartender

And obviously, this dude should have at least showed up for the fans. Even if he didn't perform. But a check is a check. Sounds like miscommunication somewhere along the line. Or Bronson is a straight up a$$hole. Both sound plausible.
With that said, y'all can keep talking that "I would stay indie forever" route if you want to... gonna be doing a show a week just to clear $50k/year (artist only seeing about half that money per show).
nah.. hes just not the easiest dude to get along with..
and, you're right about the indie route.. folks don't know a lot of these indie rappers got regular ass jobs trying to make ends meet.. that lil bit of money, only goes so far.. especially when you spending most of it on weed, and other "necessities"..

the nikka who made this thread just sounds like a selfish person with misdirected frustrution and no buisness saavy. u saying he shouldda performed anyway for the fans....and let the promoter scam him? why? This is a buisness, the promoter clearly didnt handle his buisness properly and thats why there was no performance. why are u mad at action bronson? For refusing to take a bad deal? FOH

with the exception of a few festivals/events Vice hooks him up with(where, they get a nice chuck of that anyways)- they both do primarily smaller venues..
neither ones doing 100 shows per year, if that's your question..

sounds exactly like the show he did here last year. handed out cups in the audience filled with grey goose. did riff raff's verse from birds on the wire in the crowd to end the night. great experience overall.
