Not when your competing against people with more liquid wealth and connections.
Liquid wealth is for rich not wealthy. Wealthy ppl have working capital 24/7. Just like with MJ, if the NFL wanted Jay-Z or whoever in then they in.

No, extremely wealthy people have more liquid or accessible wealth than merely rich people. The dude that bought the Panthers paid $2.3 billion in cash. Jordan was able to buy team because of timing (Bob Johnson was allegedly crunched for cash after ‘08 recession) and his legacy.

Accessible and liquid means appreciating assets that wealthy people can quickly sell not actual cash sitting around in the bank. That’s how they pay little tax by getting rid of cash. Cash in the bank is expensive

No, accessible and liquid includes cash, money market funds, frequently traded equities (stocks) and fixed income securities.

Crazy how people are actually happy about this :pachaha:

Dudes were mad as hell and called jay z a sellout when the rumors first came out while being all up in the nfl related threads and playing Madden.

It’s like Ta-Ta and Bleek got accounts on here.

If anything he should buy a MLS team...look towards the future.

Good points.

The valuations of these NFL teams are starting points and most would be considerably more expensive to actually acquire.

If Jay was sitting on $10 to $15 billion, the NFL owners would still be like :hhh: because he's black BUT, he'd have a legit shot if there was a willing seller. Him and Bey together may not cross $1 billion and the family style of NFL ownership would probably keep him locked out. Pretty sure close to 1/2 of all current owners inherited their teams.

Might not be a bad idea to own an MLS squad or something. Gotta start somewhere.

Ever notice how the blacks that can actually effect change just stay in line and never go against the grain? He could've supported or help found his own football league, but he didn't. He's a pawn and a puppet like all entertainers. All this :trash: does is distract the masses. I bet Meek or another Rock Nation artist performs at the Super Bowl this year :shaq2: These mayonnaise friendly performances do nothing to change laws or solve anything.
