So are we calling the 2020 Bucks title a fluke (right now)

This.

Also i'm kinda getting sick of this era of basketball where all the stars going down with injuries and basically determining the outcome of these matchups. Everybody keeps getting hurt and it's making the playoffs suck.

Something has to change. They probably have to make changes to youth basketball (like shutting down all leagues for X months a year or some shyt) but on the NBA level they probably need to get around to shortening the season.

bruh shut the fukk up

injuries have been a thing in the nba finals since the 50s and 60s.

That ignores the fact that it is far more prevalent than it used to be. I've posted all sorts of studies on this - NBA injuries have been steadily increasing for 40 years. It's really bad right now and everyone notices.

Think about it - MJ went to SIX finals without his top-8 missing a single finals game. I think they only missed 4 playoff games total or some shyt. Outside of Scottie missing half the regular season in '98 they barely had to deal with any regular season injuries either. Can you imagine a team today playing 105 games every season without ever having to go into the playoffs lacking?

MJ won 6 in a row

Bron went to 10 straight finals

Giannis got bounced in the 2nd round aftre winning the title

levels

One of the things that disappointed me the most in 1990s basketball was the NBA cancelling the '95 season so we couldn't see Jordan go for 7 straight.

Exactly these sensitive ass nikkas thinking i made the shyt up lol

Steven A smith to this days says the NBA gave lebron a stimulus package in 2016 when dray decided to nut punch him. But let jplaya bring the shyt up and these hoe ass nikkas lose they minds

You cant make this shyt up

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Nah, these last 8 years or so we can make legit arguments that injuries absolutely swung titles

2015 - No Kyrie no K love. Lebron and a bunch of coli nikkas lose to the warriors

2016 - Dumb ass Dray got suspended, but iggy was hurt and steph was "hurt" in the playoffs. Cavs win title

2018 - Cp3 gets hurt in game 5 and Harden chokes like a dog. Warriors win title

2019 - KD got hurt again and klay got hurt. Raptors win title

2020 - bubble bubble lebron got a 4 month break

2021 - harden got hurr, greek injured kyrie. Kahwi ripped his knee up. Bucks win title

2022 - Middy got hurt, kyrie refused to get vax, embeed broke his face, Morant hurt. Warriors likely to win title
I can’t remember what led to every series through the 80-90-00s, but it does FEEL like there’s a lot more injuries to stars now.

That however doesn’t invalidate any rings in my eyes. I only invalidate that bubble ring because it was completely unlike anything in nba history. But even then. I give bron his 4

MJ the clear GOAT to me.. but i never understand why that Houston team gets hated on. 1st of all... they gave the 90s Bulls problems whenever they met. And secondly.. The Bulls lost to the Magic in 6 and then Orlando gets stomped on. Yeah of course Jordan didn't have a full offseason/season etc. but still.. Houston mopped the floor with Orlando. Houston would have beat the Bulls that year.

Chicago wasn't getting past Orlando either. Orlando had Horace Grant and Shaq dominating up front and Chicago didn't have anyone to counter because Grant was gone and Rodman hadn't come yet.

Grant: 18 and 11 on 65% shooting with a block a game
Shaq: 24 and 13 on 48% shooting with 2 blocks a game

vs.

Kukoc: 11 and 7 on 44% shooting with 0.3 blocks/game
Longley: 5 and 2 on 50% shooting with 0.2 blocks/game

You can't give up that much in your frontcourt and just think MJ can magically make up the difference. Especially considering that Penny (19-4-8) and Scott (15-4-2) were combined as good or better than Pippen (19-10-6) and Armstrong (13-2-4) and Anderson (15-4-2) was holding his own as well.

Orlando with five 15+ ppg scorers in the series and Chicago only has two? Plus Orlando is winning the rebound battle, has been rim protection, and is hitting more threes? Jordan wasn't fixing any of those issues no matter how much of a season he had.

Bulls were able to go on a run '96-'98 because they got Rodman to shore up their interior defense and rebounding, plus the path cleared when the Rockets aged out and Magic got hit by massive injuries in '96 and then broke up. But in 1995 they had no path forward with that roster.

im in agreement with that... the next year the Bulls swept Orlando but they had some issues going on.. Listen if Shaq would have stayed i could have seen Orlando winning a title he was raw but dominant
