So are we holding Dame to a standard this year or does he get to play the perpetual underdog? Again

And he's not doing anything special with that Blazers team either that yall want Dame to do. He isn't
:mjtf:

You realize Dame is a career 37% three-point shooter? Outside of last year where he was injury-riddled, Steph never shot below 40% from three in a season.

That is my point with regards to Dame. He has the Steph green light and is nowhere near that level. He is a 6 feet tall point guard who is a much worse defender and shooter than the guy who is the standard-bearer for the position and the new NBA. Dame is never going to win a title as the #1 guy and him making nearly 50 million a year is going to ensure it never happens.

Curry on that Portland team is definitely winning more games because he is a better player than Dame.

Curry on that team is taking them to the same place Dame takes them. Curry is never going to win without elite players around him no different than Dame.

He a better player than Dame, so stop it. Curry is what is known as an all-time great, which Dame is not.

And if you put Dame on those pre-KD Warrior teams, they come nowhere close to a title because he gets eaten up by Jrue Holliday-types.

The team that got bounced out by the Clippers in the first round a year prior was supposed to be a favorite to win it all heading into the 2014-2015 season??? Only on the coli :russ:

They were mostly expected them to be good, not great, and not considered serious title contenders.

Preseason odds had them at +2800 to win the title. 7 teams were more favored, led by Cleveland at +275 and the Spurs at +350.

2014-15 NBA Preseason Odds | Basketball-Reference.com

According to one Vegas sportsbook, they were expected to be a 4th seed in the West, behind the Thunder, Spurs, and Clippers.

Steph has been the better player for his career but at no point was he better than Dame when Dame was on that scoring run. And that run was still barely enough to get them in the playoffs

THE PELICANS AND DAMN NEAR
EVERY PLAYOFF SERIES SINCE
BLITZES DAME WITH 2 DEFENDERS
IN THE PLAYOFFS...

:dead:SECONDLY THOSE PRE KD WARRIORS
PRACTICALLY WON 2 PLAYOFF SERIES
WITHOUT STEPH...
BUT ADDING DAME TO THAT TEAM
THEY FALL OFF?

:mjtf:

One, so we are distilling this down to a nine game run? :mjlol:

Two, I saw Steph black out during an entire season winning a unanimous MVP and 73 wins.

And that run was still barely enough to get them in the playoffs’
sad
