1. Hov did that so hopefully Push wouldn't have to go thru that
2. Didnt Hov decide himself that he needed to be more mature on Kingdom Come? Fans told him that it was wack, rap about drugs and money then he put out AG...so what is you sayin?
3. Its Push first album and not his 10th
4. People have been shytting on Pusha/The Clipse about their subject matter being old/played out since day one. Its literally the only complaint people have about them...

I dont think Jay caught flack for KC because he was... trying to sound mature?

He caught flack for KC because it is the worst album he has ever released. I still cringe when I think about the Show Me What You Got video. It was like a Cymbalta commercial.

The problem with Kingdom Come was that production as a whole was subpar.

The content, to me at least, wasn't the problem at all

Thats not my point...

The point im tryna make is that around this time his post retirement..there were screams that sounded like "Jay needs to stop sounding like these young guys and acting like em"

"Jay needs to make more mature music he's too old to be rappin like this"

And many other screams alike that came from the fukkboi crab in a barrell nikkazz

Now Im asking..where are all these mufckaz when we have a 37 year old still rocking cornrows still rappin like he's in the same age bracket as Drake and Kdot?

He's not successful??
No, he's not. He makes good music so I get the urge by some to want to cape for him if anyone dares criticize him in the slightest, but in the rap game Pusha T is a couple levels above weed carrier status. Dope artist, though:manny:

Edit:

Kingdom Come was certified trash outside of a couple tracks

Edit #2:
I can't wait till corn rolls catch on in these streets:wow:

Rappers wearing jeans, sneakers and baseball hats is acceptable at any age..It's the cultural norm.. No different than a country singer wearing cowboy boots and a gallon hat...He should never get clowned for that....

The problem with KC is he was 37 bragging about being a grown up....And the examples he used to display his maturity all had to do with him spending money on expensive things and not really being "grown"

The whole "your chick shops at the mall" mentality has nothing to do with being mature and everything to do with being in the top 1% of the tax bracket..

There are brothers that are volunteer fireman or school teachers that mentor young men and do other community work that are married to Black women that still shop at the mall..

Are they not "grown men"?

It was his twisted outlook on what it means to be "grown" in the Black community that deservedly got mocked...

He is still doing it in 2013... "I dont pop Molly I rock Tom Ford"...Like my n1gga.. Are those the only two options?

:russ:

He just seems to have a great talent at dumbing down the Black experience to the lowest common denominator...

And as a Jay-Z Stan that respects his art and contributions, I feel I can say this with full clarity and credibility..

Pusha T is a messegeboard/blogger/music journalist hero/babyface, traditionally...the Clipse, post-Lord Willin, prolly have one of the most lopsided "critical praise to actual fukks given in real life" ratios to be found...one of those Clipse albums (don't remember which one) was hyped to be a transcendent 5 mic classic or some sh!t, and it was generally forgotten about forever 3 months after it dropped...Pusha T's entire existence at this point is basically summed up as that near 40 year old blog darling wanting desperately to actually matter...but part of that is never really having to worry about being criticized for certain stuff... Jay-Z is a tweener in that regard, his massive success and stardom begs a certain amount of automatic hate...along with the cult of personality built around him

I would actually advise against both...But if you had to chose between the two, spending $10 dollars on a pill is more fiscally responsible than spending $5,000 on an article of cloth...

I say if your father did his job you will refrain from both poppin molly and rocking overpriced clothes made by white homos...
