You shouldn't be outside if you're in the vicinity of a blast. That's regardless of what the government says or questioning the government. And yes, you should wait for the people who have the equipment to properly gauge the level a radiation before making major moves outside. But go on outside and HYON. You'll be in here making a post saying, "I got that radiation poisoning brehs. Pray for me."

There is no better advice. Stay inside. If you can board up or cover your windows. If you have a basement go to it. If you're in a brick structure, the more the better. If you were outside, then you need to slowly remove your clothes, put them in a plastic bag and chuck that shyt outside, and then go take a soapy shower. Shampoo is fine, don't use any conditioner though. Then just wait it out because it may take two weeks for radiation levels to be safe-ish. It's always a good idea to keep a solar and hand crank FM radio or two around, along with some non-perishable food items.
