I didn't say that in that post, but the Heat do lack big men, and the Spurs murdered you on the offensive glass. That is something lost on everyone it seems, the Spurs averaged damn near 10 offensive rebounds per game in that series, you can't give an offense as good as them any 2nd chance opportunities. Duncan, Diaw and Kawhi had more offensive rebounds by themselves than the Heat as a team.

You had no rim protection vs the Spurs, and with Wade being so shytty on defense anyone that got past the 1st or 2nd defensive rotation had nothing to worry about once they got in the lane. You lack athleticism on the wing and rim protection in the paint, but Bron wanted Napier :ld: Wade isn't getting any younger and his decline on the defensive end will probably be even more apparent next season.

We have been murdered on the offensive glass since 2010.

All I am saying is that Free Agency has not started yet. We don't even know how the contracts are going to look. Ennis seems to be a good prospect. We need another PG. I wouldn't be surprised if they do get Lowry and send Cole/draft picks for a S&T with the Raptors.

As for Wade, we'll have to see what he does. He seems committed to losing weight and re-adjusting his game.

I'm just waiting until Riley is done putting the team together, that's all.

Hairston is definitely talented but defense in the DLeague is atrocious man, if they ever want to make that league a serious option for guys who don't want to go to college like what Cuban was saying they really need to clean that up. One of Shabazz's best assets is his perimeter shooting so that's kind of a wash there, Hairston's advantages would obviously be as a bigger and younger threat on the perimeter that the Heat don't have...but then Shabazz gives you another ballhandler and passer and everyone knows Hairston can't pass worth a damn. How much of Shabazz's ability to handle and create while playing in that Heat offense will obviously have to be seen.

The problem is LeBron is so ball-dominant that how much does another "ball handler" actually help him. Look at Jordan and Kobe, they won 10 rings between them w/o having another ball-handler. No matter how much LeBron loves Shabazz, a PG really doesn't suit his needs unless he plans on really becoming a presence in the post everyone has been wanting from him. A 6'6 230 lb with lights out shooting capabilities and size and athleticism to defend on the perimeter. They could have used him to chin-check Kawhi Leonard in the finals or PG/Lance Stephenson in the ECF that takes alot of pressure of LeBron.

Hairston could be LeBron's Trevor Ariza/ Ron Artest or Jordan's Scottie Pippen [obviously not to the skilllevel of Scottie]

See, I think they should have just kept Hairston, and if they wanted a PG look at Collison or Mills, both are accustomed to playing without the ball in their hands. It's not like Napier is Steph Curry, dude had the ball in his hands a lot @ Uconn, adjusting to playing off the ball the majority of the time will take some time.

Kaman is horrendous on defense, and Okafor had a neck injury, you plan on going back to the finals with one of them when the Spurs could be waiting for you again?

We'll find out in 3 days if Wade will opt out or not :wow:
The Spurs window is closing and Bron is heading into his prime..5 straight Finals appearances was a stretch anyway , so we might have to lose 92 bricks and fall back even if we do resign him..Lets the Spurs cook or hope OKC gets hot, knocks them out and gives us a more favorable match up..

I think LeBrons work ethic and IQ are so high he can win a title playing a different style with different pieces...I don't believe he can only be successful with the ball in his hands surrounded by spot up shooters.. He's great enough to adapt..

LeBron isnt Jordan or Kobe.. And we keep talking about Napier like he's garunteed to be a starter..Dude could just be a rotation player that runs the offense while Bron rests..Or a 6th man that comes in and is asked to contribute perimeter scoring..

:ld: If you're just looking for perimeter scoring do you take a 6'1 PG or a 6'6 SG. Im biased I think the PG position is rather overrated. And if Napiers isn't a starter it makes this trade even more senseless. Why draft a backup PG when you're unsure of you're starting PG?

Generally NBA starters aren't obtained that low in the draft for future 2nd round draft picks..If you're not a top 20 pick the expectation is that you will start off as a rotation player that has to earn his minutes..

Look I like Hairston a lot and wouldn't have been mad AT ALL if we kept him instead of Napier..But Riley has 5 rings as a coach and 2 as an executive..I trust he knows what he's doing..

Lebron recently started handling the ball more bcuz everyone was playing so damn bad. It was like he might as well shoot every shoot. During the first 3 years. Chalmers, Mike Miller and everyone had a chance to shine. It's just all the help have been playing so bad

Chalmers was the starting PG for 4 straight trips to the finals and 2 Championships. Not saying he is great, but the way they shyt on him is bytch made
Actually shows how much faith and chances they kept giving him but he's s FA it's not like they cut him

:what:PIPPEN WAS THE OTHER BALL HANDLER.

JORDAN WASNT AT THE TOP OF THE KEY POUNDING THE ROCK LIKE BRON.

HE ACTUALLY KNEW HOW TO PLAY OFF THE BALL.

They question is, can Lebron actually play off the ball efficiently? Even if they have a PG bring the ball up, he'll still be running the offense in the half-court.

My brother's keeper
PG was the least of your worries, the lack of wing athleticism and zero big men on the Heat is just :whoa:

The center prospects on the market are pretty much awful save for Gasol and Gortat, and the wings aren't much better, there are PGs that you could have gotten on the market though, some of them pretty cheap too.

I don't get what the Heat are going to do, especially if Wade doesn't opt out.
I agree with you on the bigs, but they really believe in James Ennis on the wing. Might bring back Buckets too.
