dumb reactionary nikkas saw harden score 40 against the pistons in that first game and declared it a L for okc
shyt takes years to manifest itself. okc didn't win the trade per say but the trade gave them the flexibility to strengthen their front court
the thunder don't need harden they need all the shyt he didn't do : perimeter defenders, rim protectors, and rebounders
they got that after he :camby:and now they may be set for the future while the rockets are probably going to need to rebuild

Adams, yes. He was one of the picks from the Harden trade.

Kanter, no. The other 1st rounder they got from Houston in that deal was used on Mitch McGary.

Kanter, Waiters, Roberson. Basically everybody besides Adams since 2012 has been outside of that trade.

And none of the players they got back for Harden are even on the roster anymore.
You're getting the players they drafted directly from picks out of that trade confused with the roster moves and signings they were able to make because of that trade. Kanter isn't on this team if they didn't trade Harden - mostly because they wouldn't have traded for him in the first place and second of all, they would never have matched Portland's offer sheet.

Okay.

And maybe/probably OKC would have a title already if they had never traded Harden.

Maybe Westbrook and Durant never get hurt if they had never traded Harden.

You can play this butterfly effect game all day long. And it goes both ways.

We'll never know. But what is factual is that the only tangible asset they gained from shipping out Harden was Steven Adams.

Exactly. As much as we may hate Harden on this forum, folks have seemed to already forgotten how potent that trio was.
