Calvin Lion definitely takes that crown.you cannot be serious with Lil Kim.it's a couple cats who had great entrances. snoop is def number 1. lot of controversy on 50 cent cause he was already somewhat known b4 grodt. yall might laugh but im a put lil kim up there. she came in crushing the buildings as well.

nobody outside of the tri state area and pa knew who 50 was before the g unit deal and the no mercy mixtape which basically blew up off the strength of wangsta.Easily Snoop
2 real ass classics in 12 months, the whole death row era and all that.
50 is not far behind, started the mixtape game as we know it, a dope ass album, brought back actual aggressive content. But as far as music goes, 50 is not seeing Snoop.
werent they in the same year too?![]()
you cannot be serious with Lil Kim.
Come on now breh, REALLY?
The 3 being talked about here basically ran a year+ when they first hit the scene. Snoop (93-94), DMX (98-99), and 50 Cent (2003-2005)
So kim didnt have a huge buzz after players anthem and get money??? so kim didnt go platinum? im not disagreeing with any of those artists. but im trying to name people who werent listed yet
50 had a similar "cultural" impact, but far less, while it was non-existent for someone like KIM. KIM was "just" big in hip-hop circles, but even never at THAT level IMO. very few are in this discussion I think, basically Snoop, 50, DMX, maybe Jay-Z even though I don't remember RD running hip-hop when it dropped.
