Lol. No, it's completely true. Prohibition is unethical and ineffective. Handgun bans like the ones in Chicago and DC did little to stop black markets (in 4 muh VA and IN, importation was illegal as well). Buying a gun on the black market for nefarious purposes won't be stopped by this law. However, a person who wants to gift a hierloom pistol to their kid will no longer be able to.

What @Adeptus Astartes is saying two posts ago is true. If you cannot legally sell or transfer a firearm, upon your death the state will have to confiscate that weapon or else your family member or whoever took your gun after your death will be a criminal in possession of a handgun the state barred from transfer.
