You gotta watch movies without any common logic or it'll drive you insane. I was reading the other day that the damage done in The Avengers movie would run about 160 billion dollars. Imagine the collateral damage the number of dead was probably in the high 100,000 or more.

I don't think too many tears would have been shed. Shredder was running a children's gang that was bordering on a cult. The foot clan wasn't exactly a local martial arts club.

Nah..self-defense because Shredder was falling above him with the knives armor. He didn't want him to bounce off the garbage truck and cut him, so he "opened" the back, giving him a nice soft hatch to fall into. Crisis adverted
